Whitehaven Farm’s ‘Cabin Trio” is in it’s own area with a central Kitchen/Bathroom/Lanai. Two additional outdoor showers complement the facility. Ideal for families or small groups, the property is available as one or when available the cabins can be rented separately.
The cabins are nestled amongst fragrant native flowers adjacent to an ocean trail about 200’ above sea level. Banana, Papaya, Jack-fruit, Rulenia and other tropical offerings flourish. The Cabin Trio is adjacent to the Kapehu stream with it’s natural freshwater pools and waterfall. An ocean trail traverses the stream side to public ocean access.
The working Whitehaven farm has been certified as an EMF ‘White Zone’ that is clear of magnetic, electrical and underground fields. Microwave radiation is under half a micro-watt/m2. Cellular telephones work and wired internet is included on the Lanai and in the Mauka (mountain) cabin. Situated in a quiet corner of Peepekeo Point, gentle rains are less frequent than in neighboring Hilo and an unobstructed view of Mauna Kea’s telescopes is often prominent.
